In February 2017, The Podiatry Practice celebrates its 20th year of providing podiatry services to the people of Brisbane and South East Queensland.
We started from humble origins with just a single room in a small section of the Taylor Medical Centre in 1997, and worked closely with what was known as the Brisbane Inner South Division of General Practice helping people across the inner southside of Brisbane with diabetes remain free from foot amputations.
Over time we continued to work closely with GP organisations, and then staffed clinics within the Mater Adults and Children’s Hospitals, all the while growing our private practice.
After outgrowing our initial premises, and then another area of the ground floor of the Taylor Medical Centre, we eventually moved to our permanent contemporary clinic on the 1st Floor of the building in 2010. As we celebrate our 20th year, a fourth podiatrist, Claire Westra is about to join our team to assist in meeting the podiatric needs of all of our loyal patients across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
A big thank you to all the patients, staff and referring practitioners who have supported us over the years. We look forward to the next 20!
